Bibliographic reference
Barker set off for Turkey in 1799 to make drawings for a panorama of Constantinople, which was exhibited in 1801. Subsequent exhibitions of a panorama of Constantinople are recorded, but it is not clear whether the original work is referred to, or a version of it. The drawings were probably executed from the Galata Tower.
