Object history | The engraving shows a Remote Place in the ballet Ino ed Atamante, choreographed by Angiolini, designed by Sanquirico, given at La Scala, Milan in 1820. The print came to the Museum as part of the Cyril Beaumont Bequest. Historical significance: An example of early 19th century scene design, in the realistic, pictorial tradition by one of the leading Italian scene designers of the period. |
