Plates 36, 38, 44, 46, 47, 50, 52, 55 and 56 with accompanying original calotype photographs (9) laid down under lithographs. Quarter bound in brown morocco. Lithograph, uncoloured, with tint-stones, coloured by hand, or printed in colour. Calotype photograph (salt print from paper negative). Each plate numbered. Most plates lettered with 'Voyage Au Soudan Oriental', title of individual plate, name of original artist, name of lithographer and of lithographic firm responsible for plate.
