This has been described as 'one of the original sketches* for the etching the same size.
[*There is another in the Print Boom of the British Museum, from the Wilson, Baron Verstolk, and Scarisbrick collections. Watelet mentions that he had seen four different; drawings or studies by Callot for this celebrated composition.].
