Object history
The costume was designed by Roger Furse for 14 Attendants in Grand Fete de Ballet, arranged by Ninette de Valois for the RAD Production Club, at the Royal Academy of Dancing Ball Grosvenor House on 8 June 1939 and subsequently given in a revised version at the Westminster Theatre on 18 July 1939.
The design came to the Museum as part of the Cyril Beaumont Bequest and was probably acquired by him as a possible illustration for his various publications on design and dance.
