Piece of screen printed and glazed cotton. It is decorated with red, pink, white and yellow roses including leaves and stalks, and with a few blue and red flowers. The background is cream coloured. There is a 22cm long cut or tear originating where a small piece has been cut out of the top edge of the fabric.
Both selvedges are preserved and contain the following printed text: ' "THORNTON PLACE" Copyright (c) MCMLXXXVIII design edition limited '.
