Vase and cover of soft-paste porcelain painted with enamels and gilded. Vase with an ovoid body and two beaded loop handles. High foot rising from a square plinth. Decorated with acanthus foliage in relief and coloured blue and with an oval medallion on either side of the body, reserved on a ground of close vertical gilt striped painted in grey monochrome, one with a landscape and the other with a figure subject. Domed cover surmounted by a conical top.

Physical description
Vase and cover of soft-paste porcelain painted with enamels and gilded. Vase with an ovoid body and two beaded loop handles. High foot rising from a square plinth. Decorated with acanthus foliage in relief and coloured blue and with an oval medallion on either side of the body, reserved on a ground of close vertical gilt striped painted in grey monochrome, one with a landscape and the other with a figure subject. Domed cover surmounted by a conical top.

Object history
Part of a set of three vases C.263 to B-1935. The figure paintings are after a painting by Angelica Kauffmann.
