Physical description

Length of screen printed and glazed cotton with large , exotic blossoms in various red and blue tones and leaves in several shades of green. The background is beige with fine white foliage. This length of fabric is a strike off or trial piece. Therefore, the pattern peters out at one end of the fabric. There is a stamp in the left upper corner of the design, giving details of the manufacturer.
Both selvedges are preserved and contain the following printed text: ' TREE OF INDIA Copyright (c) MCMLXXXIX design edition limited '.
