Vase of porcelain with decoration painted in undergaze blue and 'copper-red'. Round the rim, a border of key fret in blue. The two handles are arched and lobed and decorated with Ch'ih-lung in blue. The decoration on one side of the body consists of rocks in blue rising from curly blue waves; from the highest rock grows a peach-tree, in blue, with peaches in copper red. On the lower rocks grow a bunch of ling chih, in blue, with heads in copper red. On the other side are rocks with flowering plants growing from them, curly waves and cloud scrolls taking the form of heads of ling chih all in blue. Above is a red copper disc representing the sun amd so the forces of light and fire. Below are five bats. Mark of Emperor Qianlong in double circle in underglaze blue.
