Dish, Ofuke type, one of a pair with FE.5A-1984. Mould-made from a pale, grey firing clay; ogival form with deep rounded sides and almost flat interiors. The footring is attached and smoothed into place. This process would have been done on a wheel or rotating platform. The join on the inside of the footring is securely finished, but there are narrow drying cracks running around the outside. The rim has also been smoothed, but not to the extent of completely losing the square cross-section resulting from knife-trimming. The translucent glaze, which is a pale greenish grey colour and has a medium crackle, covers all of the interior and most of the exterior, stopping just above the footring.
