Dish of porcelain, with decoration in openwork and painted with overglaze enamels in the famille rose palette and gilt. Round the rim, a reticulated border in openwork, covered with a cream-coloured glaze and painted in brown to represent the spotted bamboo. Round the centre is a circuit of trefoil cresting in gold. In the centre, three sprays of peony ranged round a branch of two lichee fruits, one green, the other ripe. Adhering to each spray is a butterfly.

Dish of porcelain, with decoration in openwork and painted with overglaze enamels in the famille rose palette and gilt. Round the rim, a reticulated border in openwork, covered with a cream-coloured glaze and painted in brown to represent the spotted bamboo. Round the centre is a circuit of trefoil cresting in gold. In the centre, three sprays of peony ranged round a branch of two lichee fruits, one green, the other ripe. Adhering to each spray is a butterfly.
