Round box, lacquer decorated on the top surface with a lotus spray on a red ground, and on the side of both parts of the box of spiral scrolls. The base and interior black.

Object history
Formerly in the Sedgwick Collection. Conserved: Jan/1977. Broken rim section, reset adhesion with tube Araldite filling with Brummer stopping. Colour retouch, edges polished.
