Plate made of porcelain in an octagonal shape. The original underglaze blue decoration consists of a border of flowers around the rim and a rocky river-scene with buildings and a boat in the middle. To this have been added in enamel colours three figures in the boat, a bird, a large butterfly, a pagoda, and flowers in the intervals of the landscape, a border of gilt cresting surrounding it, and a wavy stem with flowers and floliage between the cresting and the outer border of the rim.

Given by Mrs Kate Bentle in 1911. Stated by the donor to have been enamelled by a china-painter working in London with whom she was acquainted.
