Porcelain plate with sloping rim, painted in underglaze blue enamels, with the arms of Spencer quartering Wright and impaling Shaw. Round the rim in blue are four floral sprays tied in fillets and round the well four small cartouches with flower sprays on a diaper ground. In the centre, mainly in red, green, and black enamel and gilt, are the arms of Spencer of Chard, Kent, and London, Argent a fess engrailed gules in chief three lions rampant of the second, quartering Wright of Kent, Per pale or and sable a bend engrailed counterchanged, and impaling Shaw of Eltham, Argent a chevron between three fusils ermines; crest, A panther's head, or, erased at the neck gules, with fire issuing from the mouth and ears proper, with the crest of a panther's head.

Coat of Arms (Painted with the arms of Spencer quartering Wright and impaling Shaw. John Spencer of Chard in Kent, a Paymaster in the service of the East India Company, married Catherine, daughter of Sir John Shaw of Eltham, 2nd Baronet. He died in May 1737. There is another service made about 15 years later, made for his son, cousin, or nephew.)
