Vase of porcelain. The body has four slightly convex sides rounded off at the shoulder and a bulbous neck with narrow mouth. The neck is painted in red and green with conventional lotus-flowers and foliage above a band of red wave-pattern. The shoulder is decorated with ruyi head ornament in red. In panels on the four sides of the body are a pheasant and a blossoming pomegranate, a crane and a branch of peach with fruit, a cock amidst sacred fungi and an eagle on a rock in a torrent with the moon above, all painted in red, green, yellow and manganese-purple outlined in black. Narrow lines of underglaze blue are also painted on the neck and a line of brown round the mouth.
