Vase of tall, slender ovoid shape spreading out of the foot, and with a shallow footring. The original neck is missing and has been replaced with a small cylindrical neck of later porcelain. Painted in red, green and yellow enamels with a band round the body containing a subject of three sages accompanied by a boy, who carries a wrapped scroll, in a landscape scene. Below are a frieze of ruyi pattern and a broader band of stiff leaves above the foot; and round the shoulder is a band of lotus scroll, with ruyi patterned frieze below the neck.
