Vase of porcelain. Bulbous with board foot and wide mouth. Painted in underglaze blue with six stylised lotus flowers on curved stems, dependent from a border consisting of a wavy scrolled stem encircling the shoulder. Round the base a border of fret-pattern. Above each flower is a single character of Tibetan inscription: OM MANI PADME HUM (Lo! the jewel in the lotus).
