Mug of porcelain, cylindrical can shape with raised double ring below the lip and handle in the form of two leafy stems intertwined after an English model. Flat unglazed base, painted in blue with a Fitzhugh-type diaper border with cell border below the rim, and with another cell border at the foot, the terminations of the handles also in blue and formerly gilt. The arms painted on the face are those of Beveridge of Cash in Fife, Vert, in point barry wavy of six argent and azure, two beavers rampant combattant or with a floral swag frame, with the frame, with the crest, a demi-beaver rampant on a coronet.
