Teapot of globular form with 'C'-shaped handle and straight, narrow spout; and low domed lid with pointed knob. Painted on either side with two Middle Eastern musicians standing on a grassy ground, one wearing a yellow tunic and blowing a horn, the other in green with a trumpet, with borders of cresting above and below in gold, all these designs being reserved on a deep black ground which covers the rest of the vessel, except for similar gilt borders and scattered lozenge motifs on the lid.
