Jar of porcelain, oviform, with short neck, wide mouth with moulded rim, and low foot. Painted in underglaze cobalt blue, on the sides with stylised lotuses and foliage interspersed with Sanskrit characters: 'Shri namo bhagavata trami' ('Holy Salutation to the Blessed One'); at the top, are borders of crosses; emblems; stylised foliage on a serpentine stem; cloud scrolls; below, a border of false gadroons above a narrow band of simple linear scrollwork.
