Tea caddy and lid, porcelain painted with overglaze enamels in the famille rose palette. Ovoid in shape with six-lobed sides and short neck; spreading foot, surrounded by an appliqué band of 'classic scroll' pattern in openwork. the lid is low, lobed dome with in-fitting flange and a pointed knob. Painted round the sides are three sprays of peony, camellia and chrysanthemum with touches of gilding, with an irregularly-shaped frieze round the neck; three flower sprays on the lid, and gilt knob.
