Vase of porcelain, painted in red and green enamels. Inverted pear-shaped body with projecting ring just above the foot, wide neck flaring slightly at the top flanked by two small ear-like handles. On the body small birds flitting amongst blossoming peonies. A band of petal ornament round the shoulder, a bird on a peony spray on one side of the neck, on the other a crane beside a lotus flower.
