In the middle, chrysanthemums, pomegranate flowers and daisies growing among rocks with butterflies. On the rim twelve panels of flowers. Under the rim four sprays of flowers.

Bequeathed by Mr. George Salting, accessioned in 1910. This acquisition information reflects that found in the Asia Department registers, as part of a 2022 provenance research project.
Formerly at Burghley House. Bought by Mr. Salting at the Marquess of Exeter's sale at Christie's, 7 June 1888, for 14 guineas. Lot no. 15.
