Square bottle of porcelain, with silver stopper. Painted in overglaze enamels of the famille rose palette. On each of the four sides is a panel. Two of the panels show a pair of mandarin ducks swimming under a branch of flowering peony and other flowers. The other two panels show a bird on a branch of flowering peony, probably a magpie. The decoration conveys a wish for wealth, honours and married happiness.
