Dish of porcelain, saucer-shaped. Painted with overglaze enamels in the famille verte palette and slightly gilded. The decoration consists of an illustration of the manufacture of silk; three women engaged in unwinding the cocoons amidst buildings with thatched roofs, and walls or fences over which two women are leaning conversing with another and a boy standing upon a stool; to the right a maple and another tree. Above, an inscription regarding silk reeling; and a gold seal reads: 'bao he tai he'.
