Dish of 'eggshell' porcelain, painted en grisaille and gilt. In the deep centre is a bearded man in a fur mantle mounted on a mule, accompanied by a lady riding a horse and an armed attendant on foot. On the rim are gilt sprays of flowers in four panels reserved on a ground of diaper pattern in black; the panels take the form of a peach, pomegranate, Buddha's hand citron and another fruit respectively. Within this outer border is a narrow band with gilt foliage in a continuous wavy stem.
