A square dish with spreading, slightly concave sides vertical at the rim, standing on a rather smaller square foot. Painted in a palette of leaf green, deep red, yellow, greyish aubergine and black enamels with touches of gilding. Inside on the bottom is a spray of flowering prunus, and round the four sides are panels of growing bamboo and prunus in alternation. Symmetrical leafy motives with ruyi-head centres appear on each outside face.
