Jar of brown earthenware, moulded in relief and painted in coloured glazes. The jar has four sides of ogee-curved profile and a short square neck. The sides are moulded with the flowers of the Four Seasons (prunus, peony, lotus and chrysanthemum) growing in flower-pots, coloured greenish-blue and yellow against a dark manganese-purple background; the angles of the shoulder are decorated with panelling of ruyi head outline.
