Plaque, painted enamels on copper. The oval plaque has been framed in painted wood which also conceals the back. It is painted in delicate style with a scene of three European ships and a long-boat near a rocky Chinese shore with buildings raised on stilts over the water, and with a temple with pagoda in the background. The design is executed partly in colours, and partly drawn in a fine grisaille.
