Jar with tapering sides, sloping shoulder, hexagonal neck and matching domed cover with button knob. It is painted in underglaze blue on alternate sides, with designs of chrysanthemum growing by rocks and a rose standing in a double gourd vase. Round the shoulder and lid are band of karakusa scroll with peony heads and on the neck is a key-fret pattern.

Physical description
Jar with tapering sides, sloping shoulder, hexagonal neck and matching domed cover with button knob. It is painted in underglaze blue on alternate sides, with designs of chrysanthemum growing by rocks and a rose standing in a double gourd vase. Round the shoulder and lid are band of karakusa scroll with peony heads and on the neck is a key-fret pattern.
