Bequeathed by Mr. George Salting, accessioned in 1910. This acquisition information reflects that found in the Asia Department registers, as part of a 2022 provenance research project.
The scenes are from the drama "The West Chamber" (Xi Xiang Ji):
1. Sun Fei Hu before the monastery (Part II, Act I).
2. Zhang Sheng along (unidentified).
3. Zhang Sheng and Hongniang (Probably Part IV, Act I).
4. Zhang Sheng. Continuation (Part V, Act II).
