Vase, made of extremely thin, light, "eggshell" porcelain, probably containing a high proportion of kaolin. Of slender meiping form, with neck flaring to everted mouth rim. Painted on one side with a soaring eagle over waves in black, yellow and blue overglaze colours; the reverse side is undecorated. The painting is signed 'Furen' in black with red seal 'Zou'. On the base is a red stamped sealmark 'China, made at Jingdezhen'.

Physical description
