A moulded porcelain object, made with no visible signs of how it would be supported i.e. no frame, holes for suspension etc. Thin unglazed porcelain, which has the appearance of having been extruded between two moulds. Formalised composition of a young mother, her two arms and long hair providing a frame for the baby who is suckling her left breast. An exhibition number is stuck on the interior: "1 = 1985, mu yu zi (mother and child), M - 14".
