Object history
This Groundplan by Anthony Holland is part of an extensive collection of designs donated to the Theatre Museum by the artist in 1996. The plan was executed for Opera Rara's production of Offenbach's operetta "Robinson Crusoe" at the Collegiate (now Bloomsbury) Theatre, March 7th, 1973. The operetta was translated by Don White, and the production was directed by William Chappell. The production was subsequently revived by the London Opera Centre at Sadler's Wells in April 1974, and July 1976.
