Hanging picture scroll of embroidered gold coloured silk satin fastened to a silk damask ground with a paper mount, backed with paper. The embroidery is in coloured silks in split and satin stitches, and gold thread in laid and couched work.
The scroll depicts two of the Eight Taoist Immortals. The upper figure is Zongli Quan, the leader of the Eight Immortals. He is depicted as a fat man with a bare belly, holding a peach in his hand and seated on a phoenix.
The lower figure is Zhang Guo Lao. He is depicted riding a mule and carrying his emblem (the Yu Ku, a kind of musical instrument in the shape of a bamboo tube with two rods to beat it).
The scroll is a long panel with a lathe for hanging at the upper edge and a roller at the lower edge.
