Physical description

Dressing table made of holly inlaid with decorative veneers of ebony, purpleheart and sycamore. The left and right sides of the dressing table are each units with four drawers one above the other, raised on four legs. Between the two drawer units, and joining them, is a veneered surface sitting above one drawer arranged horizontally. An Omega symbol has been incorporated in the marquetry on the table centre top. Two additional units with two drawers sit on each side of the table top, around a three-leaf mirror. The carcase is made of mahogany and the front of drawers of American whitewood and oak. The surface of the dressing table and drawers is veneered with purpleheart (dark red/brown colour), ebony (black colour), and sycamore (yellow/brown colour). The legs and the mirror frame are veneered with sycamore.
