Silk tapestry picture panel (kesi) woven with a scene in the Lin Shan mountains, with painted details. These mountains were a celebrated place of pilgrimage. At the base of the picture mountain crags with scattered trees and two groups of buildings are depicted rising from the river. At the top are two mountain out-crops, with trees and the outline of a mountain in the distance. In the top right hand corner there is a woven inscription.

The panel is mounted in silk with a diaper pattern in blue, pale gold and white, backed with paper.
