A fragment of figured silk, dark blue. The pattern is of storks within circles. The ground is an 8 end satin, 5 shift, with the pattern in reverse. Self-patterning. The warp is x-ply with a slight Z twist; approx. 128 ends cm. The weft is x-ply no evidence of twist; thick; approx. 40 picks cm. Selvedge on one side.
