Lady's summer robe of white silk gauze figured with clouds and lucky symbols. The embroidered gauze is backed with gold paper. The wide sleeves are trimmed with narrow sleeve bands of pink silk damask, patterned with a swastika fret and roundels and embroidered with polychrome silks in satin, long and short and stem stitches, with laid and couched work, with scenes of figures in garden settings.

The robe is decorated at the neck, hem, and sides and down the side opening with a seven-inch broad band composed of woven braids of gauze embroidered with polychrome silks in tent stitch and a little laid work. The embroidery depicts trees, flowers and various scenes of figures in landscape and garden settings.
