Child Emperor's Dragon robe of yellow silk embroidered with gold and silver thread and multi-coloured silks in satin and stem stitches and laid and couched work. The robe is unlined.
Usual design of five-clawed dragons, background worked with a swastika fret, clouds, bats with peaches and swastikas, 'Shou' symbols; and the 12 Imperial emblems. The hem is embroidered with the sea and waves containing the eight Buddhist emblems.
The collar is edged with blue silk, brocaded in gold with endless knots, bats and floral motifs.
The embroidery stops short of the edge in the arms, which have also lost their cuffs.
