Incense burner (and lid), porcelain with a celadon glaze, in the form of a lion. Made by Miyagawa Kozan (1842-1916), Yokohama, Japanese, Meiji period, 1905-1910.

Incense burner (and lid), porcelain with a celadon glaze, in the form of a lion standing with movable head forming the lid. Round the body of the animal is a row of five-petalled flowers in slight relief and round the neck are panels in the form of lotus-petals.
