A large jar with rounded sides, short, straight neck and unglazed lip, standing on a massive, wedge-shaped foot with unglazed foot-ring. The saucer-shaped base is inset and thus deeply recessed, glazed, but incompletely on the inside. A firing crack runs round the inside bottom. The opaque green glaze is greyer inside and yellower outside. Carved relief decoration on the outside consists of peony flowers and foliage and a narrow petal panel above the foot.
