This covered dish was used to hold food or sweetmeats. It is decorated with lotus flower petals and the handle on the lid is in the form of a lotus bud. Malay silver is often skillfully decorated with embossed and chased patterns balanced by blank spaces to accentuate the ornamented areas.

| Physical description | In the centre of the dish is an open flower surrounded by foliage on a stamped ground enclosed within a circular border of a cord-line; round the edge of the base is a band of open flower motifs on a stamped ground; round the edge of the dish is a design of embossed pointed ovals enclosing engraved flower and leaf motifs. The cover is dome-shaped surrounded by bands of engraved foliage and embossed pointed arches. At the top is a circular pointed petal design surmounted by a pointed knob. |
