Resist-dyed palampore in madder dye and produced by the wax-resist process. The field has a main central tree, flanked by two smaller trees, and growing from three hillocks. Each tree has spreading branches with floral forms and leaves which make a balanced all-over pattern. The hillocks are decorated with small repeating leaf and floral motifs. There is a wide main border. The border has a repeating pattern. The wide border has a base in each of the four corners.
