Length of tinsel ribbon (gota). Warp of flattened silver strip woven with white silk weft, with relatively fewer warp ends than found in finer grades of gota. Embossed with diagonal bands of geometric and floral designs.

Transferred from the India Museum in 1879. Slip book entry 607: 'Silver ribbon stamped / Delhi / 1855 / Purchased / Five pieces various widths / (later added above in pencil) Price to [be?] added'. 1880 Register entry: 'BOX. No. 88 / 6200-6251. GOLD AND SILVER TISSUE RIBBONS, Heavy trimmings, fringes, and tinsel, ribbon embroidered with beetle wings'.
