1883 Register entry: 'WOMAN'S GARMENT. "SARI". Printed cotton, in form of a shawl with narrow side and long end borders. Centre of green and pink chevrons on red ground. Bordering of running floral pattern, and yellow, green, and red sprays on black ground. Baroda. L.13ft. 10 in., W. 2ft. 7 in. 36. IS. 1883'
Production
Very similar in technique, materials, design and appearance to a group of saris recorded as being produced in Ahmedabad jail (IS.114-1883 to 119-1883)
