Complete textile, probably a shawl, block printed on both sides in red and blue, resist and mordant-dyed and painted, with painted mustard yellow areas. Central field with repeat design of floral sprigs, outer borders with buti designs and floral meanders. Two deep end borders with five large butis. Fringed at both ends. Printed date at one end and East India Company stamp in one corner. Complete piece made of one selvedge to selvedge width.
