This terracotta tiger figurine is made up of a series of thrown cylindrical pieces which have been assembled with additional modelling and strips of clay decorated with impressed finger prints. A white chalky pigment has been splashed over the object. It was made by a Hindu potter for use by Bhil tribesmen in their open-air shrines.
