Object history
Acquired by Caspar Purdon Clarke during his purchasing trip to India in 1881 to 1882. 1883 Register entry: WOMAN'S GARMENT, "SARI." Printed cotton, in form of a shawl with narrow side and long end borders. Centre of yellow spots on red ground. Borders of cone pattern of red and white spots on black ground, in imitation of Banda work. Baroda. L. 12 ft. 7 in., W. 3 ft. 8 in. 30. I.S. 1883.
