Object history
Acquired by Caspar Purdon Clarke during his purchasing trip to India in 1881 to 1882. 1883 Register entry: WOMAN'S DRESS, " SARI." In form of a shawl with narrow side and long end borders. Centre of yellow spots on red ground. Borders of red and yellow cones and sprays on dark blue ground. Baroda. L. 13 ft., W. 3 ft. 7 in. 40. I.S. 1883.
